Weeks 9-12

47. 21. 30. Prediction. 24

These are not the same Patriots. But, Bill Belichick will still have this team ready to compete. All signs point to Jarrett Stidham or Brian Hoyer starting this game for the Pats.

Regardless, the New England defense is still good. Whoever is under center for the Patriots will do enough to get the win. The Jets will make it close but fall short.

Prediction. 28. 30. 18. 59

The Jets might drop both games to the Bills, but they will have a strong chance to sweep the Dolphins. Even with a more seasoned Tagovailoa, or if it is Fitzpatrick, the Dolphins might not have enough experience yet.

A young roster is good and bad. Good for the potential, but bad for the immediate future. The defense will either take advantage of a young signal caller, or force the veteran Fitzpatrick into mistakes.

Prediction. 17. 59. 27. 30

The Jets survived with a 22-21 win when these two teams met up at MetLife Stadium last year.

Yes, the Dolphins will be a better football team this season. After a draft in which it felt as though they were selecting every other pick, the roster is full of young, high-end talent.

It will either be Ryan Fitzpatrick or Tua Tagovailoa under center. At this point in the season, both options will be beatable. The Jets defense will take advantage and force mistakes, giving Darnold the ball in favorable field position.

30. Prediction. 20. 28. 31

Jon Gruden has probably already wiped away the bad memory of last season’s Jets vs. Raiders game. The Raiders came into MetLife Stadium and the Jets handled them by a score of 34-3.

Darnold will hang another 30 on the Raiders in 2020. Las Vegas added and gave Derek Carr options on offense. However, they still project to be a middling team. The defense will get to Carr, while Darnold navigates well on offense.
