Weeks 5-8

30. Prediction. 21. 32. 28

Kyler Murray was good during his rookie season, and he was given DeAndre Hopkins this offseason. The Cardinals will have an explosive offense, but the defense can still improve.

Isaiah Simmons will help strengthen the middle of the defense and Chandler Jones is one of the league’s best pass rushers. Although, Darnold will have more time in the pocket with a better offensive line and he will make the plays at home.

30. 14. 13. Prediction. 24

The Philip Rivers’ days have come to an end with the Chargers. He has since joined the Colts.

Now, the Chargers will either play veteran Tyrod Taylor, or rookie Justin Herbert. Like the situation when the Jets play the Dolphins, the Jets should win regardless of which option is under center.

Traveling across the country and adjusting to the time difference is always tough. But Darnold is a California kid, and he will play well back in his home state. The team’s defense will force the Chargers to punt a lot, giving Darnold time to work.

16. 13. 30. Prediction. 20

The Bills saw Tom Brady leave the Patriots and jumped on the opportunity to add to the roster. After winning 10 games last season and making the playoffs, they appear ready to compete for the division title in 2020.

This will be a defensive battle, but Josh Allen has more at his disposal than Sam Darnold, and the Buffalo defense can fly.

17. 30. 34. 124. Final

The Jets have been awarded the luxury of playing both of last season’s Super Bowl teams. At home, they play the 49ers. On the road, they travel into one of the most rambunctious NFL stadiums in the league to play the reigning champion Chiefs.

Here is why the Jets will lose: Patrick Mahomes.

In all seriousness, this will not be a close game, and it shouldn’t be. The Chiefs returned a lot of key players from the Super Bowl winning roster, and they drafted impact players as well.

For an inexperienced Jet team, this will be a learning experience in a daunting environment.
