Pick Analysis. AFC. North. Pittsburgh Steelers. Scouting Report. 4. player. 55

Ben Roethlisberger is nearing the end of his career whether he wants to believe that or not, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to need a quarterback when Big Ben is officially done. Dalton spent the first nine years of his career playing against the Steelers twice a year and could be someone they look to bring in.

As of now, Pittsburgh doesn’t have a viable backup on their roster (Duck Hodges isn’t scaring anyone and Mason Rudolph is… Well, not the answer, that’s for sure.

Dalton would have a legitimate weapon in Juju Smith-Schuster and the defense in Pittsburgh has always been top notch. He’d have a great head coach in Mike Tomlin and would be a part of one of the best franchises in all of the NFL.

No, Dalton wouldn’t be the long-term answer in Pittsburgh, as they’d likely draft a quarterback next year, but even just one year under center while grooming his eventual replacement could make sense here.
