East. Washington Redskins. 3. player. 58. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. NFC

There was talk heading into this year’s draft that the Redskins would pass up Chase Young and draft Tua Tagovailoa with the second overall pick despite having taken Dwayne Haskins in round one last year. Smokescreen or not, that report was out there and it shows that Haskins might not have the support of the team who drafted him only a year ago.

Haskins started to piece things together in his final few games, but with Ron Rivera now the head coach in D.C. and not being the one to draft the Ohio State kid, he might not feel inclined to keep him around should Haskins struggle in year two. Rivera could instead opt to go after his old quarterback Newton or he could bring Dalton into the fold.

This one falls on the unlikely side of the scale due to Dwayne Haskins only being in his third year by the time 2021 rolls around and likely being given one last shot if 2020 doesn’t go well, but hey – If nothing else, this would have Washington Redskins move written all over it, wouldn’t it?
