player. 13. . . . Justin Herbert/ Tyrod Taylor. 28

This not an knock on rookie Justin Herbert, who apparently wanted to be a Charger growing up, and will take Philip Rivers’ place as the franchise moving forward. For now, it seems like the team is going to roll with Tyrod Taylor to start, and let Herbert try to win the job, as this will be one of the key quarterback camps to watch this offseason.

Herbert is a special talent, and if he can utilize his arm, and legs at the next level, he could be one of the better young quarterbacks in the game. For now, it will be a deep learning curve for him, but the Chargers have their guy for the future.

. . . Tua Tagovailoa/ Ryan Fitzpatrick. 27. player. 59

The Miami Dolphins held the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and with the selection, they added former Alabama star Tua Tagovailoa. Tua was widely considered the top quarterback in the draft class before a devastating hip injury his final year on campus, but a clear bill of health gave the Dolphins the confidence to take him in the top-5.

Heading into the 2020 season, Ryan Fitzpatrick is still listed as the starter, but things can happen in a hurry if Tua is 100 percent. Fitzpatrick had some magic left in him last season, and even if he starts the year as the starter, Tua will likely get the nod at some point.

. . Baker Mayfield. 26. player. 53.

The Cleveland Browns made Baker Mayfield the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and after a record-breaking rookie season, it looked like they had found the guy who would finally lead this team back to being a playoff contender each season. However, despite the team bringing in a lot of talent in the offseason, Mayfield struggled in Year 2, and there are real questions about him heading into Year 3.

For Mayfield, he just has to concentrate on getting the job done on the field, as he seemed to focus more on his brand than his play last season. Cleveland has the talent around him to make the playoffs, but it is really up to Mayfield to make this thing go.

56. . . . Joe Burrow. 25. player

The Cincinnati Bengals made it known early on that they were not only staying with the No. 1 overall pick, but that LSU star Joe Burrow would be the selection. Since selecting Burrow, veteran quarterback Andy Dalton has been sent packing, landing with the Dallas Cowboys, as the Bengals have handed Burrow the keys to the car.

Only problem here is that Burrow is going to have a lot of work to do, as the Bengals have been a losing franchise for quite some time. Sure, they played hard for head coach Zac Taylor last season, but this is a team with a lot of holes on the roster, so the 2020 season may be a trying one for the young signal-caller.
