Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. AFC. Jacksonville Jaguars. player. 52. South. 1

It was only two years ago that the Jacksonville Jaguars were in the AFC Championship Game and narrowly missed out on their chance to go to the Super Bowl.

Since then, they’ve reverted back to the Jaguars we’ve all come to know and love. Things unraveled quickly for the Jags and now they’re on pace to be one of the worst teams in the league in 2020.

Jacksonville went for broke in 2019, inking Nick Foles to a large contract, which did not pan out to say the least. Foles is in Chicago now and the Jaguars’ game plan at quarterback is 2019 sixth-rounder Gardner Minshew.

It’s not a knock on Minshew, but the Jaguars aren’t set up to be a good team in 2020. Their defense has fallen off since their dominant run two years ago and Minshew doesn’t have a ton of playmakers at his disposal.

If the Jaguars somehow don’t end up with the number one overall pick, they’ll still be excited to upgrade at other positions. More than likely, however, the Jags will be picking in the top five and if they’re lucky, they’ll get the Lawrence lottery ticket.
