CON: STILL A TOP TIER QUARTERBACK

This news of Wilson being on the trade block is shocking because he’s still very much considered a top tier quarterback in the NFL. No, he’s not Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson, but he’s still very, very good.

In fact, a strong argument could be made that without Wilson being as good as he’s been over the past three or four years, the Seahawks would be terrible. Their defense has fallen off since the majority of the Legion of Boom departed and Wilson has kept them relevant for sure.

Another big thing with Wilson is that the guy is extremely durable. In his eight years as an NFL quarterback, Wilson has yet to miss a single start. Considering his age and his style of play, playing all 16 regular season games and every playoff game in his first eight years is rare and incredibly important.

The Seahawks might not be so lucky with their next quarterback and they should take advantage of having durable Wilson in Seattle.
