PRO: COULD LAND AN ASSORTMENT OF RICHES

Teams covet starting quarterbacks, even ones who are in their 30s. With Wilson’s track record, most teams in need of a quarterback would jump at the chance to trade for him and that, in return, could give Seattle a lot of riches to work with.

The Seahawks need to rebuild the rest of their roster and it’s going to be hard to do that with Wilson’s salary on the books. Trading him could give them either players or draft picks to work with in building this team back up to a Super Bowl contender.

Whether it’s a top-five draft pick or maybe two first rounders over the next two years and a talented player thrown in as well, that’d go a long way in building a championship team. The problem these days is that a lot of teams have young quarterbacks who they haven’t necessarily seen enough from yet.

Pro Football Talk mentioned the teams who could be interested being the Cowboys, Raiders, and Saints, two of whom are looking at who their next quarterback could be. The Cowboys seem to be surprising, as they have a younger (albeit not as efficient) version of Wilson already in Dak Prescott.

Seattle has what a lot of teams want at the quarterback spot and if they do decide to trade Wilson, the haul they’d get in return could be huge.
