Ja'Tavion Sanders. 24. player. 851. . ATH. Longhorns

  • High School: Ryan (Denton, TX)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 24, No. 1 ATH

The top athlete in the 2021 recruiting class is Ja’Tavion Sanders.  Expected to be an edge or tight end at the next level, Sanders has given his commitment to the University of Texas.

The Denton product helped Ryan to a 15-1 record and state runner ups as a junior. He finished the season with 11 sacks along with 763 receiving yards. To rack up the accolades he did in Texas high school football is quite an impressive feat.

His 6-foot-3 and 220-pound build makes him a prototypical edge rusher at the college level. His athleticism makes him a versatile weapon that will allow the Longhorns to deploy him in a variety of packages against Big 12 offenses.

Committed to Texas

Ga'Quincy McKinstry. 23. player. 842. . CB. Tigers

  • High School: Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 23, No. 2 CB

One of the top cornerbacks in the nation is still up for grabs. Pinson Valley cornerback Ga’Quincy McKinstry has yet to make a commitment and there is a battle brewing in the state of Alabama for him.

McKinstry has an elite skill set for when it comes to finding the football. He’s able to pinpoint at its highest point and come down with it, which makes him a threat on both sides of the ball if a program chooses to do so with him.

He’s a state champion in both football and basketball, which makes him an impressive athlete. The big question, of course, will be whether its Alabama or Auburn? Whichever side he lands on will be getting a big-time playmaker.

Prediction: Auburn
