We’ve already discussed the Buckeyes having a commitment from quarterback Kyle McCord, but how about having someone to protect him? The Buckeyes have secured a commitment from the top guard in the 2021 class in Donovan Jackson.

The Buckeyes have two commitments at the guard spot in this upcoming class as they build depth in the interior. This upcoming class has a clear direction for the Buckeyes and it’s bringing in a quarterback and building a line to protect him with.

Jackson is an athletic guard from Texas with great size that will fit right in as he looks to make a name for himself as a Big Ten offensive lineman. At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Jackson has the size and versatility to move around the line if necessary.

The top weak-side defensive end in the 2021 class is Dylan Brooks.  The 6-foot-5 pass rusher recently announced his commitment to Tennessee.  The thing that stands out about Brooks is his large frame.

He’s an imposing figure when rushing the quarterback and against some of the big offensive linemen in the SEC, Brooks is going to need every ounce of power and burst of speed on Saturday’s.

As you would expect from a five-star recruit, he also has great athleticism to match his frame. Being able to dip back in coverage and lend a hand as well as doing work up front makes him an exciting land for Tennessee.
