4. TE Delanie Walker (Released by Tennessee Titans)

He has been riddled by injuries the last few seasons but when healthy he’s been one of the more productive players at his position. And the versatility that tight end Delanie Walker brings to a football team is immeasurable.

The 14-year veteran has split his NFL career equally with the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans. But it was during his seven-year stay in Nashville that he emerged as a three-time Pro Bowler. His totals with the teams include 381 catches for 4,423 yards and 28 scores.

But he was lost for the season in Week 1 of 2018. Last year after playing in only seven games and eventually being placed on injured reserve, Walker stated last December in regards to his football future that “this is not the end for me” via Jim Wyatt of Titans Online. The Titans did release him this offseason and he remains on the open market.

So could the Miami Dolphins take a look at the 35-year-old pro? This past season, second-year tight end Mike Gesicki finished second on the team with 51 receptions, good for 570 yards and five touchdowns. And regardless of who’s playing quarterback this season, Walker would bring some valuable experience to the Dolphins’ offense.
