The Vikings have long needed to upgrade their offensive line and now is the time do so. Adding the offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum would help strengthen the Vikings protection.

The Vikings have weapons at the skills position on offense. At running back they have an emerging star in Dalvin Cook with depth at that position with Alexander Mattison and Mike Boone. Both backup running backs have proved they can contribute. The best way to make this offense more explosive is adding talent to the offensive line.

The Vikings rushing attack enables them to run play action. After trading away Diggs, the Vikings drafted LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. More than likely Jefferson will play opposite to Adam Thielen. While Diggs impact is tough to replace, strengthening the offensive line could supplement this.

While quarterback Kirk Cousin’s has been healthy the past two seasons in Minnesota, they need that trend to continue. Protecting him should be the main priority at this stage of the offseason. If something were to happen to Cousins, are the Vikings comfortable with Sean Mannion taking over the reins?
