Green Bay Packers won’t finish high enough in a competitive NFC North

Make all the jokes you want about the Chicago Bears, but the NFC North is a tough division and last year proved that. The Packers might have pulled away and won the division at the end of the year, but the Vikings hung around all season long and aren’t going away in 2020.

The Vikings also got better this offseason. Sure, they traded away Stefon Diggs, but they drafted LSU’s Justin Jefferson to replace him. They also had a total of 13 draft picks to help build their roster and the needs they might have.

Minnesota took down the Saints in the Super Dome during the Wild Card game last year and did so with their dominating defense and stout run game. They’re no slouch and most definitely could strip the division away from Green Bay.

The Bears obviously have a quarterback conundrum at the moment, but if Nick Foles can play even half as good as he did during his Super Bowl run with the Eagles, he and that Bears defense can keep Chicago in contention.

The Lions probably aren’t doing much, but they have surprised in years past. They’re not a threat to win the division, but they could be a threat to shock the Packers in at least one game in 2020.
