Las Vegas Raiders trade target: Jamal Adams

While New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas insists the team wants to keep Jamal Adams long term, he still may be dealt. After all, the Jets’ current regime didn’t draft Adams and reportedly almost traded him to the Dallas Cowboys during last year’s trade deadline.

While Adams is rumored to be traded out of New York with hopes he can get a big payday elsewhere, there is no reason why the Raiders shouldn’t move in on the sweepstakes.

Adams has proved to be one of the top safeties in the game with a tendency to bring down ball-carriers. The Raiders adding Adams could make this defense dangerous. He wouldn’t be cheap in any trade, but Mayock would be adding an elite playmaker who immediately reshapes the defense.

If Raiders could pull off a trade for Adams, then they could move Abram over to free safety. If he’s as good as they think he will be, then the Raiders will have a dominant secondary more than capable of giving the Chiefs a run for their money.
