9. Black Panther
T’Challa became King of Wakanda under regrettable circumstances. After the tragic death of his father, he assumed the role of leader and protector. This meant taking up the mantle of Black Panther and defending it against all foreign and domestic enemies.
The young warrior definitely earned that title as he fought the likes of M’Baku and Killmonger to secure his throne. No longer hiding from the world, the new king provided sanctuary for Vision during Infinity War. He then bravely lead his army and the Avengers to hold off a massive force and then, after that failed, he returned to get some payback in the Battle of Earth, proving this guy doesn’t know the meaning of the word quit.
Besides his ill will, T’Challa also has some impressive tech at his disposal, compliments of his genius sister Shuri and all the Vibranium he could ever want. Some say it rivals that of Iron Man but his suit can’t fly, nor does it shoot an assortment of missiles. However, it does enhance the king’s reflexes and strength, making him more formidable in a fight than Captain America himself. The nano-tech activated Vibranium suit can be thrown on at any time, allowing him to strike those razor-sharp claws at a moment’s notice. His outstanding ability to lead, unparalleled courage, and his selfless devotion to protecting those in need make Black Panther one of the greatest Avengers ever.
