Florida football should run the table to close the season.

Nov. 7 – at Vanderbilt

There’s a good possibility that Vanderbilt is one of the worst teams in the SEC in the 2020 season. Though Florida will be coming off of a hard-to-swallow loss against Georgia for this road matchup in the conference, I don’t suspect that the Gators will have any problems leaving the crowd in Nashville very displeased with what they saw on the field. Prediction: Win

Nov. 14 – vs. Missouri

I have full belief that Eli Drinkwitz will be the right man to get Missouri back into the mix of possibly winning double-digit games. That, however, will not come in the 2020 season. The Tigers suffered too many major losses on both sides of the ball and will be rebuilding in Drinkwitz’s image. That doesn’t result in many wins against teams as good as Florida. Prediction: Win

Nov. 21 – vs. New Mexico State

Now that SEC play is officially done for the Gators, they get a tune-up game before their season-finale rivalry matchup. Call me pessimistic, but I don’t see many ways in which the New Mexico State Aggies are going to be able to do anything against Florida. Prediction: Win

Nov. 28 – at Florida State

Florida State is in good hands with the Mike Norvell hire as he has proven to be a strong program builder who can get away from what has been an abysmal part of Seminoles history. And while the team in Tallahassee is talented, I don’t believe they’re fully at a place, especially on offense, where they’re ready to make the UF-FSU rivalry an even matchup once again. Prediction: Win

Florida football 2020 record prediction: 10-2

While 10-2 with the potential to go 11-2 with a bowl win is a season that most programs would take, it does have a sour taste for Florida football. It leaves them short of the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff. Even still, it should be a stepping stone to bigger things in Gainesville under Mullen.
