Fantasy Golf: 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge Values

Billy Horschel 7,400

With no recent form to go off of, I will be relying on golfers that crush par 4s and difficult golf courses. Look no further than Billy Horschel. He is a plus ball striker and a solid putter of the golf ball. BHo ranks top 10 in my mixed condition model in TTG and approach on Par 70 courses. He also ranks 14th in strokes gained putting on bent grass greens. He has solid results at Colonial, finishing T19 in 2019 and T34 in 2017. He will look to build off his success this week.

Abraham Ancer 7,300

Ancer is an incredible young talent, and 7,300 is a travesty. I love the way he sets up for this course. He plays difficult courses well, ranking 25th in TTG on difficult courses, and he has had a lot of success in windy conditions. I love the upside play, and I am confident that Andersen played a lot of golf during the break. Ancer is 2/2 in made cuts at Colonial, although his best finish is T52.

Andrew Putnam 6,800

I have one rule for Par 70 golf courses: play Andrew Putnam. The guy crushes Par 70’s. He ranks top 20 in the field in par 70 scoring and birdies or better on par 70 courses. Putnam is not as efficient on difficult golf courses, but I’m confident in his ability to succeed at Colonial. In 2018 he finished T20 and in 2019 he finished 3rd. I am all in on Putnam this week.
