Things have really begun to heat up in the console wars as both Sony and Microsoft prepare to unleash their newest systems into the world. The Xbox Series X was the first to show itself off, with many wondering when the PlayStation 5 would get its time to shine. Now the wait is finally over.
After Sony had been teasing its next game-changing console for the past few months, fans everywhere were more than excited to hear the news about the reveal event. After delivering several amazing trailers for some very impressive titles, the PS5 was shown in all its glory, signifying the beginning of a whole new era of gaming.
PS5 Hardware
The bold design choice is much different than the standard black-box approach Sony has unusually taken with its consoles in the past. The sleek, futuristic concept sports a white exterior with a black inner shell all coming into the shape of a V to solidify it as the fifth installment in the PlayStation legacy. A disc-free, digital version of the console will also be available, most likely for a lower price.
The console can stand vertically and also lay flat as most gamers prefer. The ambitious aesthetic look matches the groundbreaking hype that surrounds the PS5, and it already has everyone talking, especially about the closeup look that was given at the new black and white controller.
DualSense Wireless Controller
Sony did a great job of saving the best for last while issuing the system’s first glimpse, and many fans are very eager to get their hands on a PS5. Unfortunately, everyone walked away from the visually stunning affair not knowing when they would get to experience any of it or how much it would cost as no official price or release date was announced.
For now, all fans can do is relive the trailers and enjoy the steady flow of PS5 meme mania that is will most likely continue. One thing that is known for sure is that whenever PS5 arrives, it will have been well worth the wait.
