5 reasons the Bills will win the AFC East
2. Stefon Diggs can elevate Buffalo’s passing game
Part of Allen’s struggles at quarterback can be attributed to the team’s lack of talent at wide receiver. That’s why Buffalo’s front office went out and got their signal-caller a bona fire star this offseason. Stefon Diggs is going to change the complexion of the Bills’ aerial attack.

In a perfect world, Buffalo could have gone out and gotten Allen a bigger receiver. That might have helped to cure some of his accuracy issues. Instead, they got him a burner. Diggs may not lead the league in catches, but he’s going to produce big plays for an offense that sorely lacked explosion in 2019.
The franchise would happily sign up for Diggs to reproduce his numbers from last season in Minnesota. Adding 63 catches for 1,130 yards in just 15 games would give Allen the most dangerous weapon of his career to work with.
It’s also important to understand the opportunities Diggs’ presence on the field can create for others. Opposing secondaries are going to have to account for his ability to make plays over the top. That should open up intermediate routes for the rest of the team’s receiving corps.
Adding Diggs changes the Buffalo passing attack dramatically. That’s bad news for the rest of the AFC East.
