Star Saints halfback Alvin Kamara has transformed into a NASCAR superfan.

Alvin Kamara is now an official NASCAR superfan after the banning of the Confederate flag.

New Orleans Saints three-time Pro Bowl running back and 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Kamara headed out to the Homestead-Miami Speedway to see his first NASCAR race. Along the way, he’s decked in Bubba Wallace gear to show support.

”Enjoy the show,” NASCAR tweeted to Kamara, who posted a video of him en route to his first NASCAR event.

NASCAR loves Alvin Kamara and he loves NASCAR.

The day before Kamara couldn’t contain his excitement. He tweeted a photo of brand new Wallace merchandise including hats and t-shirts saying he was excited to see the race.

“Lets gooooo!!!!!!” Wallace tweeted.

Kamara was not the only superfan of Wallace.

”My peeps…all the madness crashed the march site earlier!” Wallace tweeted Saturday along with three laughing emojis dropping a single sweat. “Love the support! Everything is fixed and back up and running!“

The rush of excitement for the sports comes after NASCAR decided to ban the Confederate flag at all events and on all properties associated with the league.

While some fans voiced their pleasure of banning the flag claiming they won’t watch the sport again and current racer Ray Ciccarelli promises to retire from NASCAR after this season because of it, the movement far outweighs preserving tradition.

”We are not closing the door on you. We are opening up the door for many others,” Wallace said.

In this case, superstar running back Kamara is one of them. While seated at speedway, Kamara tweets out an appreciation for the sport.

Kamara also seemed to be taken by surprise at how fast those cars go in person.

NASCAR has certainly been embracing their many incoming fans who, like Kamara, have shown new interests in the sport.

”I really just want to help welcome all of these new #NASCAR fans into our sport,” Sydnei Fryson tweeted, a member of the NASCAR community who has been answering many questions on Twitter to those new to the sport.
