Here are WWE Monday Night Raw results for June 22.

The June 22 edition of Monday Night Raw was a championship edition as multiple belts were up for grabs. The Viking Raiders, IIconics and Charlotte Flair all had shots at their respective titles against formidable champions.

The night started out with Drew McIntyre welcoming the newest addition to Monday Night Raw, Dolph Ziggler. The former tag team champions exchanged pleasantries before the truth of the matter came out: Ziggler was looking for a shot at the title. The result is an Extreme Rules match between Ziggler and McIntyre for the WWE Championship.

The first match of the night featured one of those title battles as the Street Profits put their belts on the line against the Viking Raiders. Both teams got off to a fast-paced start and were flying around the ring. Montez Ford got caught in an awesome spot after a front flip over the top rope. The Profits even broke out the Viking Experience on the Raiders, nearly beating them with their own move. The Street Profits pulled out the victory when Ford hit a massive frog splash off the top to get the pin fall.

Charlotte Flair got into a scuffle with Nia Jax earlier in the evening, which put her at a physical handicap against Asuka. Injury aside, Flair was able to get out to an early start and dominate the champion for much of the early going. Flair and Asuka would battle back and forth until the final sequence where Asuka would focus on Flair’s injured arm. She kept attempting to hit the arm bar before transitioning to the Asuka lock and forcing Flair to tap out for the victory.

R Truth was set to defend his 24/7 title against Akira Tozawa, who brought several of his ninjas out to improve his odds. Before the match could start, Bobby Lashley and MVP stormed down to the ring and destroyed everyone in their way. Truth was dismantled as well, which created the opening for Tozawa to climb back into the ring and pin Truth, winning the 24/7 title.

Liv Morgan and Natalya went from being a tag team to opponents in a week as they were the next matchup for the evening. Natalya would not come to the ring on her own as Lana was there to support her new friend. Lana’s presence helped, as she distracted Morgan while she entered the ring. Natalya used the opportunity to chop Morgan’s leg and immediately lock in the Sharpshooter to get the submission victory.

Sasha Banks challenges Asuka

Sasha Banks and Bayley continued their WWE tour defending the Women’s Tag Team titles. On Monday they were set to face off against the IIconics – the women that ended their first reign with the titles. The IIconics put up a great fight, almost pinning the champions multiple times. But Sasha found a way to lock in the Bank Statement on Peyton Royce, forcing her to submit in the middle of the ring. Banks was feeling confident after the match, taking the microphone and challenging Asuka to a title match at Extreme Rules — a match that Asuka accepted.

Apollo Crews continues to be in the eyesight of MVP. This week Shelton Benjamin received a second shot at Crews’s United States title. Benjamin and Crews put on a solid match once again, but Crews picked up the victory for the second week in a row, this time without having to use any underhanded tactics. Crews was not safe, however, as Lashley came back out to lock on the full nelson as Crews left the ring, leaving the champion laying on the ground.

Monday Night Raw was called “Championship Monday” and nearly all the title holders walked out of the Performance Center with their titles in tow. A lot of names from the past were featured in what is a slightly different direction for WWE content in recent months. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues in weeks and months to come.
