Here are WWE NXT results for June 17.

Last week, Adam Cole was successful in his non-title match against Dexter Lumis, but he was not safe from the message that was sent his way by Karrion Kross and Scarlett. The main question may be whether time is up on his title run, but that is not all that needs to be answered on the NXT scene. Wednesday’s edition of the show featured two big tag team title matches as both Imperium and Sasha Banks and Bayley put their belts up for grabs.

The night began with Breezango challenging Imperium for their titles, and in classic Breezango fashion, Tyler Breeze and Fandango started out with a parody of the current champions. The fun and games were over once the bell rung as a hard-hitting match broke out. Chaos ensued as other teams came down to the ring, causing a brawl to break out. The distraction allowed for Barthel to get the jump on Fandango, setting up the pin fall as Imperium would escape with their titles.

The action continued as Damian Priest faced off against Killian Dain. Dain focused on Priest’s back as it was presented that he is still dealing with pain from his WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House match against Finn Balor. The two big men would beat each other with back and forth big shots. Dain gave Priest a lot of damage but was unable to get the victory as Priest would hit the Reckoning and get the victory.

Xia Li was back on NXT television and she had a match against Aliyah. Before Aliyah could start her match, she tried to get the attention of the maligned Robert Stone, who was a disheveled mess outside the ring. Li was beating the brakes off Li until Stone’s presence created the accidental distraction, allowing Aliyah to pin Le.

Kayden Carter was up next as she battled Dakota Kai to get some payback for her friend Kacy Catanzaro. Carter put up a strong fight against Kai and looked to have her pinned, but she was able to reserve the position and get the submission victory.

Bronson Reed makes a challenge

Bronson Reed made another appearance and the Australian big man made quick work of Leon Ruff. The finish came when Reed took to the top rope and hit a 300-plus pound splash on Ruff to get the pin fall. He then called out Killian Kross for a match next week, looking for revenge on the attack that he suffered at the hands of Kross last week.

The main event of the evening featured a return to NXT by Banks and Bayley as they returned to defend their Women’s Tag Team titles against Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox. Blackheart and Nox controlled a lot of the action in this match, showing everyone that they can hang with the champions. Blackheart had Banks locked into a submission until Bayley ran in with a steel chair. Nox attempted to make the save but gave enough of a distraction for Bayley to assist her partner. Banks rolled into the Bank Statement to force Blackheart to submit. Banks and Bayley remained in the ring to celebrate until NXT Women’s champion came down to get rid of them both.

NXT ramped up match announcements as major names were already planned for future weeks. Keith Lee is defending his title against Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor. Reed is facing Kross, plus much more.
