Here are the NXT results for June 10.

NXT came into Wednesday with a lot to cover as NXT TakeOver: In Your House was this past Sunday. Titles changed hands and storylines were advanced at the newest edition to a throwback PPV in WWE’s history. Now, viewers tuned in to see what was next for Io Shirai, Adam Cole, Keith Lee and others.

Adam Cole started the night by sending a message, reminding everyone that he is the most dominant NXT champion in the history of the brand. They also talked about the specter of Dexter Lumis that is haunting them. The segment ended with them walking away but Roderick Strong had a clear look that Lumis was there keeping an eye on them all.

The feud continued between Keith Lee and Mia Yim against Johnny Gargano and Candice LaRae as they faced off against each other in a mixed tag team match. While the rules of mixed tags call for the men and women to only face those of the same sex, both Yim and LeRae showed they can get offense off on Gargano and Lee, respectively. A miscue led to Lee hitting Yim with a bounce and falling on top of LeRae. Gargano didn’t let that opportunity slide as he rolled up Lee for the pin.

Indus Sher and Malcom Bivens were out next in a violent squash match. They would batter their opponents and finish them off in less than three minutes.

Finn Balor gets revenge.

Cameron Grimes tried to fake an injury to keep himself out of a match with Finn Balor, but NXT general manager William Regal made sure the North Carolina native made it to the ring to face the former champion. Grimes got off to a slow start as he was on the wrong side of a beating from Balor, but the moment he got the upper hand, he couldn’t help but run his mouth. Grimes did the best he could to hang with Balor, but it would not be enough as Balor would hit the 1916 for the pin fall victory. He would go on to call out NXT North American champion Keith Lee after his win.

Kacy Catanzaro returned to the ring on Wednesday and was charged with facing off against Dakota Kai. Kai, accompanied by Raquel Gonzalez, had a competitive match with Catanzaro. Kai not only secured the victory but continued to beat up Catanzaro after the bell. Kayden Carter would come out to attempt to make the save, but she was eventually caught by Gonzalez and flattened as well.

El Hijo del Fantasma looked like he was ready to pair with Drake Maverick to fight off the masked luchadores that had been attacking him the past few weeks. Unfortunately for Maverick, Fantasma revealed that he was in league with them and unmasked, revealing his new name, Santos Escobar.

Lumis had the opportunity to get his hands on Cole in the main event of the evening. Cole got out to an early advantage against Lumis, but he would find a way to rally. Lumis had to deal with the numbers game as the Undisputed Era plagued him from outside. Lumis came close to winning, but still Cole escaped the arm-triangle choke, landing the Last Shot and securing the pin. Undisputed Era attempted to attack Lumis after the bell, but Velveteen Dream made the save, returning the favor to Lumis. Cole was left standing alone in the ring before Scarlett made an appearance at the top of the ramp, hinting that Karrion Kross is not far behind.
