1. Tua Tagovailoa is in town

Nothing energizes a team and its fans more than drafting a franchise quarterback.

The Dolphins selected Tua Tagovailoa No. 5 overall in the draft, taking the former Alabama Crimson Tide standout quarterback and national title winner.

While Tagovailoa has work ahead, his intangibles and leadership in Miami gives the vibe he can assume the starting role. If so, he has weapons at his disposal to have a successful rookie season.

Tagovailoa won’t need to have an MVP-caliber season to help Miami win. Provided he moves the chains, takes care of the football and sporadically makes plays, he gives the Dolphins a chance to win any game.

With major improvements across their staff and roster, in addition to drafting their franchise quarterback, the Dolphins can surprise people and win the AFC East for the first time since 2008.
