Several words could be used to describe the Browns 2019-2020 season, but to keep it PG, I will use: disappointing. It looked like the stars had aligned. They had OBJ and Baker poised for a breakout sophomore season, only to see it crumble to the floor as they struggled to a 6-10 record.

Not great for a team that some picked as Super Bowl Sleepers to start the year. In 2020, the Browns come back with lowered expectations and hopefully that’ll do the trick. It also helps that they brought in one of the premier TE’s in football…

Austin Hooper (currently ranked as: TE11): Terrific first name. Austin Hooper is poised to have another great fantasy season at the TE position. Last year, Austin finished as TE3 on a PPG basis. In 2019, Browns’ TE’s combined for 9 total TD’s.

Who were the Browns’ TE’s you might ask? Ricky Seals-Jones, Demetrius Harris (eww), Stephen Carlson and David Njoku, for barely one full non-injury game. We can agree, that’s not the best group of tight ends in the league. Hence why the Browns spent big on Austin Hooper this off-season.

If Hooper sees anywhere near 9 TD’s, he will be a surefire Top 3 TE. Hooper should see plenty of 1-on-1 coverage and he will feast on the linebackers similar to what he did last year. While he isn’t necessarily a breakout player, TE11 is too low for him to be drafted.

I’d prefer his upside over someone like Jared Cook or Tyler Higbee who are both being drafted in front of him. This is the exact reason why I wait to draft a TE in my drafts. Potential Top 5 TE value but is going in the later rounds of your draft. #DawgPound

Next up, the Ravens.
