Although Genoa finished sixth in Serie A as recently as 2015, they haven’t looked like repeating that feat since and only escaped relegation on goal difference last season. Things haven’t gone much better this term and they sit just a point above the drop-zone coming into the match-day.

As is so often the case, Juventus appear to have come off well in their latest piece of transfer business, which will see Miralem Pjanic joining Barcelona and Arthur Melo traveling in the other direction. It’s easy to understand why Arthur’s passing ability would appeal to Juve coach Maurizio Sarri, though there have been questions over the Brazilian’s off-the-field conduct during his time in Spain. The deal won’t be completed until the end of the current campaign.
