Scouting Report. DT. 2. player. 28. Pick Analysis. Las Vegas Raiders. Johnathan Hankins

During his days as a New York Giant, Jonathan Hankins was a force in the middle of the defensive line. He thrived alongside Oliver Vernon, Damon Harrison, and Jason Pierre-Paul in 2016. But once he accepted a lucrative deal from the Indianapolis Colts, Hankins’ production dropped, resulting in the AFC South team cutting ties with him after one season.

Gruden gave an opportunity to Hankins, and he’s been relatively decent. However, he does have one issue, and that’s putting pressure on the opposing quarterback. Through a 16 game slate this past year, Hankins only placed pressure on the passer 11 times, while tallying just 1.5 sacks. That’s not ideal from your starter.

Even if he has a rebound season in 2020, Hankins’ chances of staying with the Raiders are low, considering better players like Chris Jones and Leonard Williams will hit the open market in 2021. Come on, you know that Gruden and Co. will pounce at the opportunity to steal Jones from the rival Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll be like sharks smelling blood in the water.

Sorry, Jonathan.
