Everything you need to know about the 2020 Workday Charity Open.

This week, the PGA tour moves from Detroit Michigan to Columbus Ohio for The Workday Charity Open. Muirfield Village Golf Club plays host. Muirfield Village is a challenging tract, but it will play easier than the Memorial typically plays. It boasts thick rough, undulation, and tiny greens. The course will play close to 7400 yards. Short hitters seemed to fare just as well as long driver’s do at this tract. The average winning score at Muirfield over the past 8 years is around 15-under.

Patrick Cantlay shot a final round 8-under to win the 2019 Memorial at 19 under. Bryson DeChambeau shot a final round 71 to win the 2018 edition over Beyong Hun An and Kyle Stanley. Jason Dufner (13 under) outlasted Ricky Fowler to win the 2017 Memorial. Just a side note, Tiger returns next week at the Memorial, to a tournament that he has won 5 times before. His most recent victory was in 2012.

The keys to this course are to keep the ball on the Fairway and hit your approaches close. The greens will be slower and are very undulating. The Bent grass is pure, and may remind some of Augusta. Look for an excellent ball striker to come out on top this week.
