3 players who won’t be on the Chiefs roster after 2020 season

Sammy Watkins signing with the Chiefs was always perplexing. After a 593-yard, eight touchdown season with the Los Angeles Rams in 2017, the Chiefs opted to give him a three-year, $48 million contract to the surprise of everyone. Flash forward two years, and the contract turned out to be a mistake.
Watkins pulled disappearing acts throughout the regular season, much to the dismay of fantasy football fanatics around the world. Additionally, he lost targets to the likes of Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Mecole Hardman. Through his two years in Kansas City, Watkins caught 92-of-145 targets for 1,192 yards and six touchdowns.
Although Watkins played a key role in the Chiefs coming from behind to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, he simply hasn’t lived up to his lucrative contract. It’s also unknown if Watkins’ career will last much longer, taking into consideration that he hinted at stepping away from football earlier this year. Watkins’ Chiefs tenure will end in 2021. Book it.
