Stefon Diggs comes to town

The Bills made one of the most aggressive moves this offseason. The team went out and traded for disgruntled Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The former fifth-round pick was acquired by the Bills in exchange for four draft picks, including a 2020 first-round pick.

With Diggs now in the building, they have a true No. 1 receiver for Allen. Depending on how quick the two hit it off, this combination could lead to a career year for both players. Not only do the Bills now have a reliable receiver who is effective both stretching the field and converting intermediate passes for huge pickups with yards after catch, but a clutch target in Diggs.

Diggs alone could be the difference maker on this squad to help them win the close games. If the Bills had Diggs last season, maybe they win that postseason matchup against Houston.

With the Bills betting so much on Diggs, the transaction alone instills confidence in this roster. A group of players who may feel a lift as the organization is pouring everything into this season to show they believe this squad is a “win-now“ team.
