Quinton Dunbar’s attorney under criminal investigation for alleged victim pay-offs

Quinton Dunbar’s lawyer is under criminal investigation for pay-offs.
Quinton Dunbar and Deandre Baker‘s incident is getting stranger by the day.
Nicholas Nehamas, David Ovalle and David Smiley of The Miami Herald report, “the case against two NFL football players accused of armed robbery in Miramar took a twist after it was revealed that detectives believe four victims recanted after being paid a total of $55,000 in cash — at the office of a South Florida defense lawyer and state lawmaker.”
This South Florida defense attorney and Florida State Representative in question is Michael Grieco, the man who represents the defensive back for the Seattle Seahawks. The allegation of the alleged pay-off was first broken by The New York Daily News on Friday night. The Herald obtained the police reports from Miramar on Saturday ahead of their publication.
“Grieco’s office was the background that facilitated a cash transaction that later obstructed the integrity of an investigation,” per one of the police reports The Herald obtained. With more evidence being gathered on this case “the final charging decision will rest with the Broward County State Attorney.”
Up to this point, Dunbar and Baker have not been charged by the Broward State Attorney for armed robbery. Throw in Dunbar’s lawyer allegedly paying victims/witnesses off and this case could get even uglier for the Seahawks defensive back and the New York Giants cornerback.
Quinton Dunbar’s attorney paying off victims opens up a can of worms.
The armed robbery incident involving Baker and Dunbar was weird when it happened, as Baker is a former first-round pick by the Giants. He was the first Jim Thorpe Award winner in the history of Georgia Bulldogs football. Dunbar went undrafted out of Florida, but carved out a nice five-year stint with the Washington Redskins before being traded to the Seahawks this offseason.
With Grieco now being under criminal investigation, this will only aid in Baker and Dunbar being charged for alleged armed robbery. Given their roles in their respective NFL secondaries, it would be massive news if either or both of them were arrested by the Miramar Police for their role in this alleged armed robbery.
