South. player. AFC. Pick Analysis. Jacksonville Jaguars. 4. 52. Scouting Report

It may surprise some to know that during the last decade, only the Cleveland Browns (42-117-1) finished with a worst win-loss record than the Jacksonville Jaguars (51-108) from 2010-19.

Doug Marrone’s squad has finished last in the division three of the past four seasons. The outlier was that magical 2017 campaign in which the club won 10 games in the regular season, came up with postseason victories over the Bills and Steelers and owned a 20-10 fourth-quarter lead at Foxborough in the AFC Championship Game before falling to the Patriots.

These past two seasons, the Jaguars are a combined 11-21 and that once-explosive playmaking defense is somewhat of a shell of its former self. Calais Campbell was dealt to the Baltimore Ravens and cornerback A.J. Bouye was traded to the Denver Broncos. The experiment with quarterback Nick Foles lasted one season and a total of four games for various reasons and he is now a member of the Chicago Bears. And disgruntled pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue hasn’t signed his franchise tender.

All told, this team will be hard-pressed to escape the AFC South basement given what the other three teams have done this offseason. And Jacksonville is a dismal 3-9 the past two seasons vs. their divisional brethren.
