Round 7

round-7 /

Best: Michael Gallup – ADP 74 (7.02)

Michael Gallup had more targets per game and only 0.2 PPG less than Amari Cooper last year. The addition of 1st round pick CeeDee Lamb has dropped Gallup’s ADP down to WR33, even though he was WR17 in PPG last year. I just don’t see how a rookie is expected to instantly supplant someone who was essentially the 1b receiver to Cooper’s 1a. Gallup would be a huge value if he maintains his role from last year and has a good chance to repeat as a WR2.

Other Contenders: Tyler Boyd (7.01)

Worst: Rob Gronkowski – ADP 75 (7.03)

Don’t even think about it. I get that he’s bound for Canton, but that’s no reason to draft him in 2020. I want him on my fantasy team about as much as I want him as my designated driver. You can’t expect him to come off a year of retirement and just resume business as usual. The injuries, the abundance of other receiving options (including two other quality tight ends), and the inflated draft capital make it easy to let Gronk spike with someone else.
