DraftKings MLB Stack Options:

Baltimore Orioles vs. J.A. Happ:

Yes, Happ is the highest priced pitcher on the slate but he’s also the most vulnerable. The Orioles held their own against Cole last night and they struggle against righties. As bad as this team was last year, they still hit lefties well. They are hitting .311 against Happ in 106 at bats with seven homers and 20 runs. Renato Nunez is a lock. He has four homers and eight RBI in his career against Happ. Chris Davis has homered off of Happ twice, but I don’t know that I trust him now. Hanser Alberto has the other homer. Jose Iglesias and Dwight Smith Jr. have both hit Happ well so far. Any Orioles righty is in play.

Minnesota Twins vs. Shane Bieber:

As good as Bieber was last year, he couldn’t solve the Twins. They are hitting .320 off of him in 138 at bats with four homers and 16 runs. Josh Donaldson has two of those homers. LaMonte Wade and Marwin Gonzalez have the others. Eddie Rosario, Jake Cave, Sano, and Polanco are all hitting well over .300 against the Biebs. There’s cheap stack material in here or cheap one-offs.

Kansas City Royals vs. Ivan Nova:

Nova is always stack bait. The good part here is that the Royals are still very cheap. They are hitting .333 in 90 at bats against Nova with five homers and 16 runs. Alex Gordon is 7-20 with a pair of homers and isn’t even $3,000! Maikel Franco, Mondesi, and Ryan O’Hearn have the other homers. Franco, he of the big night last night, and O’Hearn are still minimum price! You can afford whoever you want with a Royals stack. As per usual, Whit slams Nova just like the rest of the Tigers. He is 6-10 against him.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Robbie Ray:

We’ll just start this off by saying that Ray is going to get plenty of strikeouts. The Dodgers will also get plenty of runs. They are only hitting .227 against Ray in 198 at bats, but they have nine homers and 24 runs. Kike has four homers and seven RBI, so lock him in. Justin Turner has two homers off of Ray. AJ Pollock, Will Smith, and Corey Sager have the others. Chris Taylor is hitting .345. All Dodgers righties are in play, but I don’t know that I would use lefties. Bellinger, Muncy, and Pederson are a combined 2-19 against Ray.
