4. The Ravens have one of the best rushing attacks in football

The modern NFL is reliant on the passing attack, but more often than not teams that can run the football have tremendous postseason success. We saw this in spades during the 2019 postseason when Derrick Henry carried the Tennessee Titans to the AFC Championship Game and the San Francisco 49ers used their power run game to get to the Super Bowl.

A good ground game is a massive weapon because it wears down opposing defenses and serves the added bonus of keeping elite offenses on the sideline. When you’re dealing with a star quarterback like Patrick Mahomes, one of the best ways to beat him is by making him stand on the sideline for a long time.

The Ravens fell victim to Henry and the Titans in the postseason but we can’t forget that they also have a tremendous rushing attack. Lamar Jackson’s dual-threat ability helps, but Baltimore also has a trio of talented running backs in Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards, and Justice Hill.

The rich got richer in the draft when the Ravens added Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins in the second round, adding even more talent to the backfield. Baltimore should continue to bruise opponents on the ground in 2020 and add to a recipe that is proven to lead to Super Bowl success.
