NBA DFS picks August 9: A Harden day’s night

We have an action-packed NBA DFS day in the bubble today. There are seven games on tap for our busiest NBA DFS day since the inception of the bubble. DraftKings lets you play all seven. FanDuel chopped off the early game. Looks like I’ll be a DraftKings patron today.

Let’s see who wont be participating in today’s festivities. I’m not putting the opted out guys on here anymore. I think we all know who’s not in the bubble by now.

Out: Kawhi Leonard (rest), Russell Westbrook (quad), Ben Simmons (knee), Zion Williamson (rest), Caris LeVert (rest), Joe Harris (groin), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Jarrett Allen (ankle), Jaren Jackson (knee), Steven Adams (leg), Dennis Schroder (paternity leave), Montrezl Harrell (left the bubble), Richaun Holmes (hip), Jamal Crawford (hamstring), Hassan Whiteside (hip), Tyus Jones (knee), Eric Gordon (ankle), Patrick Beverley (calf), Bryn Forbes (quad), Patrick McCaw (knee), Justise Winslow (hip), Tyler Zeller (knee).

Questionable: Aaron Gordon (hamstring), Big Dog III (hip), Kent Bazemore (calf), Michael Carter-Williams (foot).

Gordon is probably the biggest news that we’re waiting on, but I don’t know that I would use him anyway. There’s a ton of value tonight, so scores will be nuts.

Phoenix didn’t lose, but my prioritizing Lillard over Luka cost me a lot. I still came out even, which is a miracle since I only had the 20% owned Luka in one lineup. Oh, what could have been! I avoided most of the pitfalls except for Lillard.

Back by popular demand is the trifecta, where I attempt to pick the top three point scorers of the day. I only had Luka yesterday and completely whiffed on Lillard. Jokic and Mitchell were second and third thanks to the double overtime game.

Today should be a little easier. I’m riding the teams that have a lot to play for. Give me Lillard, Luka, and Booker for the top three. It’s a guard’s world today.
