Washington State. 3. 846. Pick Analysis. Max Borghi. player. Scouting Report. RB

You’d think that a running back who piled up 817 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, and 86 catches as a sophomore would have to transfer in order to prove himself in the eyes of the NFL, but that’s the situation Borghi finds himself in. Borghi was more slot receiver than running back in Mike Leach’s Air Raid, but the arrival of Nick Rolovich meant that Borghi was finally going to get a chance to prove he can dominate between the tackles. With the Pac-12 canceling the season, he’ll need to go elsewhere to prove he can carry the load.

While Rolovich likes to throw the ball, his offense would have been ideal for a plyer with Borghi’s elusiveness, vision, and ability to absorb contact, Borghi will either need to wait until 2021 to finish out his career in Pullman or transfer down south in order to steal an RB1 role and play the 2020 season. If he declared for the draft today, Borghi will be an early Day 3 pick. With one more solid year, he could be a Day 2 lock.
