NBA DFS forward plays:

There’s no way I’m paying for Giannis. He’s the least likely above $8,000 on either site to play 30 minutes if he even plays. I would much rather play Nikola Vucevic against the Nets and pocket the $2,000. Jusuf Nurkic is a better play too at the top of the bigs.

The Spurs are still only a game out of the play-in game. I tend to think that they should have a four team round robin for the 8 seed in the west. How much fun would that be to watch between the Suns, Spurs, Grizzlies, and Blazers? My point is that DeMar DeRozan is an elite scorer that is still trying. Many people are going to pay up for players because they can with the abundance of value. I like the idea of building in the middle with at least one lineup to be different.

I find myself liking Deandre Ayton against the Sixers, especially after the dud yesterday. He’ll come in at very low ownership and wont have to deal with Embiid and likely Horford. That’s a plus matchup even if he does have to go at Tatum.

Brook Lopez is in for another huge game against the Wizards if he plays. If he doesn’t, it’s an easy pivot to his brother Sideshow Bob with about the same result. Lopez is a really good play on FanDuel and is way too cheap on DraftKings.

It’s becoming harder to squeeze value out of Cam Johnson, but I’d play him over Trent or McLemore at around the same price.

James Ennis is once again a good value play, but he doesn’t have much for upside. There are at least a half dozen guys cheaper than him that have more upside. I love Ennis for cash games though.

We’re all looking for value in the Sacramento frontcourt. We keep banging our head against the collective wall known as Harry Giles. Remember Jabari Parker? He’s the better play right now.

I so badly want for Dallas to turn Boban loose again, but they likely wont with Porzingis back. Use that money on Matisse Thybulle instead if you want a punt. Philly is the only team that is actively trying not to move up in the standings. They want Boston after what Embiid did to them last year. Look for Thybulle to get as much run as Tobias Harris again. That makes him an elite punt at $3,200.

You can easily fit three starts in a lineup on either site today with all of the value plays out there. Hitting the right bench pieces for Philly and Brooklyn is really tough though. Stick to more proven commodities. The only guy that really feels like a must is Luka. Try building in the middle around him and avoiding most of the volatile value picks.
