3 players Seattle Seahawks can add to become Super Bowl favorites
1. WR Antonio Brown
The Seahawks have consistently been tied to Brown, with Wilson working out with him this season and openly wanting the team to sign him.
There is clarity with Brown now, with an eight-game suspension when/if he signs with a team. Further punishment is possible, as some of his off-field issues remain unresolved. But teams can now better weight the risk and reward on Brown.
The Seahawks are not afraid of difficult personalities, as long as said player is focused and can perform on the field. Brown’s bits of waffling on retirement invites questions about his commitment, but the latest “announcement” and reversal seemed to have served a non-so discrete purpose. Soon after that, the league brought some resolution to his situation by announcing the eight-game suspension.
Brown was one of the most productive receivers in the league before things went way off the rails. Being 32 years old with just one game played last season is not ideal, but he has apparently been staying in shape working out with Wilson and Lamar Jackson. For Seattle (and Wilson, naturally), a wide receiver trio of Brown, Tyler Lockett and budding star DK Metcalf has to be enticing if it can be done.
