Parris Campbell was selected in round two of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. He was pegged to become the team’s second option at receiver, but injuries limited his production.

Playing in just seven games last season, Campbell looks ready to fill the hole he was supposed to solidify as a rookie. While recently he was in concussion protocol, he appears ready to play Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Yes, the Colts drafted former USC wideout Michael Pittman Jr., and T.Y. Hilton remains the team’s number-one receiver. Even with both receivers, Campbell will still get targets in three receiver sets. Also, it is yet to be determined as to who the number-two option is between Campbell and the rookie Pittman.

In 2019, it was all about the running game for the Colts. Now, with Philip Rivers, that offense will look to play far more downfield and vertical. This will especially be the case against the Jaguars, a team rebuilding. They do not have veterans or top talent in the secondary, and Yannick Ngakoue was shipped out of town. Meaning, Rivers will not have to deal with a collapsing pocket as frequently as he may have had to with Ngakoue creating pressure.

Campbell is worth a pickup, or a late draft selection if you have not completed your draft yet. In very deep leagues, he may be a WR2. In others, he is a bold flex play who can produce a potentially large return.
