Start:

Cam Newton, NE, vs. MIA

A new man on campus happens to be filling in for the Greatest of All-Time. Not the easiest job, but all signs point to Cam Newton being a success in New England. Not only will the change of scenery help Newton, but a healthy shoulder and an offense built after him by one of the best offensive coordinators in football should lead to quick success. Roll him out there against Miami, especially at home.

Carson Wentz, PHI, @ WSH

Carson Wentz will be back this season after getting injured in the playoffs last year. And he should be coming back with an improved offense. Unfortunately, many of his weapons are hurt but against the Washington Football Team, it’s likely not going to matter. Wentz is worth the Week 1 start.

Philip Rivers, IND, @ JAX

For the deep divers out there, consider Philip Rivers. Rivers steps onto a new team for the first time since his rookie year as the QB of the Indianapolis Colts. His offensive line and weapons vastly improved and so should he. Expect him to make a beautiful debut against the brutal Jacksonville.

Sit:

Aaron Rodgers, GB, @ MIN

Aaron Rodgers’ days as a fantasy star are over and he is no longer a must-start. Especially against the Minnesota Vikings, who have contributed to a decent amount of his poor showings in the past few seasons. Use the waiver wire this week and stream.

Daniel Jones, NYG, vs. PIT

“Danny Dimes” is going to be an awesome fantasy quarterback for you this season. Just not Week 1. He will face the possible best defense in football in the first game of the year and could be missing a weapon in Golden Tate as well. Wait another week to trot out your hopeful QB steal.

Matthew Stafford, DET, vs. CHI

The Detroit Lions have one of their best rosters in a long time this season. That should mean success for Matthew Stafford. It’s likely going to, but Week 1 will be a tougher game against Chicago. With a fresh start and a talented RB core to help him out, sit Stafford for this one.
