Start:

Keenan Allen, LAC, @ CIN

The worries are already there for Keenan Allen, who will play without Philip Rivers for the first time this season. A generous Week 1 matchup against Cincinnati should give Allen and his new QB Tyrod Taylor a chance to find some chemistry. Start him with ease.

D.J. Chark, JAX, vs. IND

Jacksonville is going to be bad. Really bad. But D.J. Chark is going to be quite good as they try to come back every game. Expect that to work in the first of the season as the possibility to make 10 catches is there Week 1.

DeSean Jackson, PHI, @ WAS

I discussed earlier how the Eagles will be without Alshon Jeffrey and Jalen Reagor this week among other members of the offense. That makes DeSean Jackson the ideal option to see the most targets and makes him an almost must-start.

Sit:

Amari Cooper, DAL, @ LAR

Amari Cooper is good. That’s a fact, but there’s a chance he does not score the most points for the Cowboys this season. Add in that he will have Jalen Ramsey breathing down his neck all game long and you can expect a dud out the gates.

Terry McLaurin, WSH, vs. PHI

This could be a bust alert. Philadelphia has long been bad in the secondary. But they decided to fix that this season with the trade to get Darius Slay from the Detroit Lions. Slay and the fact that Dwayne Haskins has some stuff to prove before trusting any member of Washington makes McLaurin a sit this week.

A.J. Green, CIN, vs. LAC

Huge name finishing out the sits for wide receivers and it all has to do with uncertainty. Not only do we know how Joe Burrow will play, but A.J. Green hasn’t played in any game action in over a year. He could be eased in during his first showing. Wait for him to be a stud until he shows he still can be.
