When the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off this weekend, Tom Brady will enter the game as an underdog.

While with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady was always the king of the castle. After winning six Super Bowls, no one, and we mean no one, wanted to face him on a Sunday. That’s the kind of fear he instilled in his opponents.

These days, however, Brady is in the sunshine of Tampa Bay, getting ready to start his first campaign with the Buccaneers. When he takes the field this weekend, he’ll actually be doing so as an underdog, with the New Orleans Saints favored to take down Brady and the Bucs.

This is the first time in five years Brady has been an underdog going into a game, which is wild to think about. Despite New Orleans being favored by 3.5 points, that doesn’t mean Brady is worried about things. He’s been training with ferocity during camp and is showing no signs of aging once again.

Tom Brady being an underdog for the first time in five years feels a bit weird

Things will be a little different for Brady in 2020, as he’ll be looking to get Tampa Bay back to the postseason. Last year, the Bucs went 7-9, finishing third in the NFC South. They didn’t bring back Jameis Winston and signed Brady to his two-year contract worth a cool $50 million.

It goes without saying, but greatness always follows Brady. The idea of him missing the postseason seems like something not even the biggest of Brady haters could convince the football Gods to make it happen. So, everyone will have to see if Brady can help turn things around for the Bucs.

It will start this Sunday with Tampa Bay being underdogs going up against Drew Brees and the Saints.
