The Buffalo Bills could find themselves in hot water in Miami.

Week 1 was a cakewalk for the Bills, who coasted past the struggling New York Jets to improve to 1-0 on the season. A closer look at the game tape, however, reveals cause for concern for Buffalo that could carry over into their play next week.

Josh Allen had his issues holding onto the football, coughing up two key fumbles that more capable offensive teams would have converted into points. The Bills also saw Allen struggle with his accuracy at times, including an overthrow of a wide-open receiver in the end zone that would cost Buffalo four points on the drive.

Rookie kicker Tyler Bass also missed two field goals, which gave the Jets new life that they couldn’t take advantage of. Those mistakes got covered up by the final score, which may have Buffalo feeling very confident as they hit the road for Week 2.

The oddsmakers have established the Bills as 5.5 point favorites in Miami against the Dolphins, who lost 21-11 to New England in a game that was close most of the way. A few key Ryan Fitzpatrick interceptions short-circuited the Dolphins but he did bring them within three points in the fourth quarter.

There is no question that Buffalo is a more talented team than Miami but if they play sloppily this game is definitely losable. The Dolphins also looked much more competent than the Jets did in Week 1 so they could spring an upset if the Bills don’t clean up their game this week.
