Doug Marrone’s club surprised the visiting Colts last Sunday at Jacksonville and now headed to Nashville to take on the formidable Titans. The Jaguars were down 14-0 after one quarter of play but second-year quarterback Gardner Minshew overcame two interceptions by throwing for 339 yards. He also threw three touchdown passes for the second straight Sunday. But the Jaguars’ defense couldn’t get key stops and failed to come up with a takeaway.

The Colts were surprised last week at Jacksonville in quarterback Philip Rivers’ debut with the team. The club was at home on Sunday to take on the Minnesota Vikings and the veteran signal-caller looked a lot more comfortable, hitting on 19-of-25 passes for 214 yards, one score and an interception. Rookie running back Jonathan Taylor lived up to billing via 26 carries for 101 yards and one TD. Rodrigo Blankenship connected on all four field goal attempts.

Las Vegas Raiders. 16. team. 28. . 1-0. Previous:

Jon Gruden’s club got off to a good start last week with a 34-30 triumph at Carolina. Running back Josh Jacobs ran just for 93 yards and three touchdowns and the Las Vegas’ offense rolled up 372 total yards and four offensive TDs. During the team’s 1-5 finish a year ago, the Raiders scored a combined 88 points and the team’s offensive unit reached the end zone only nine times. But can the defense slow down Drew Brees and company on Monday night?
