While reports swirled saying Cleveland could trade Odell Beckham Jr., that reportedly won’t be happening.

No need to worry out there, Browns fans. It doesn’t look like any of the rumors surrounding Cleveland and Odell Beckham Jr. from earlier this week had any weight to them, and the superstar receiver will be staying in town.

Earlier this week, rumors indeed swirled stating that the Browns could be looking to trade the Pro Bowl wideout. However, per NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Cleveland front office has shot down those rumors and made it clear that Beckham won’t be doing anywhere.

Odell Beckham is coming off a strong Week 2 showing against the Cincinnati Bengals

The Beckham rumors came shortly after the Browns were completely embarrassed in their season-opener against the Baltimore Ravens, losing to Lamar Jackson and Co. 38-6. In that loss, Beckham was held to three receptions and his body language throughout the defeat showcased someone who looked beyond miserable.

However, the Browns were able to bounce back in a big way in Week 2, taking down the Bengals 35-30 in some Thursday Night Football action. In that victory, Beckham and quarterback Baker Mayfield had much better chemistry throughout the night. Beckham led the team with his 74 yards, highlighted by a 43-yard touchdown.

What made fans even happier during the game, though, was that he and the rest of his Browns teammates were all smiles on the sidelines throughout the game. When the Cleveland offense is humming like that, they’re surely a tough team to stop. And when Mayfield and Beckham are on the same page, they have the ability to do some serious damage to opposing defenses.

Moving forward, the Browns will continue to try and make a run in the AFC North, with Beckham being a key point of the offensive game plan.
