Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas offense did not hit the heights many anticipated against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, but the Cowboys took advantage of the Atlanta Falcons defense in Week 2 to pull off a scarcely believable comeback to move to 1-1 with a 40-39 triumph.

Key to that turnaround was Prescott’s ability as a dual-threat quarterback. In addition to throwing for 450 yards and a touchdown, Prescott took advantage of short-yardage situations to run for three scores.

Prescott was the top-scoring quarterback in Week 2, though his efforts in delivering such impressive production owed much to a game script that had the Cowboys in a 20-0 hole in the first quarter.

The Cowboys will hope they do not have to pull off such heroics on a consistent basis, but there is scope for more shootouts in the coming weeks.

Indeed, Dallas faces the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Week 3 before a Week 4 matchup with a Cleveland Browns team that looked revitalized on offense against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.

Both the Seahawks and Browns have appeared significantly vulnerable on defense in the opening weeks of the season. It may be tough for Prescott to replicate what he did against Atlanta but, if the Cowboys uber-talented offense gels, he should be a regular near the top of the leaderboards among fantasy quarterbacks.
