Welcome to the MVP Stock Watch, young man.

Josh Allen has taken a much-needed next step in his development as an NFL quarterback. There is an accentuated emphasis on the quarterback aspect of that statement as Allen has struggled with accuracy prior to his 2020 showing.

For now, Allen has largely remedied his inaccuracy woes, if only for two games. The offseason acquisition of wideout Stefon Diggs is paying immediate dividends for Allen and the Bills. Diggs even leads the NFL in receiving yards through Week 2.

In two matchups this year, the Bills have faced the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. One would be hard-pressed to script an easier duo of opponents, but Allen is doing precisely what he is supposed to do against bottom-feeding teams — rack up gaudy numbers.

The Dolphins were on the Week 2 docket, and Allen was fantastic. He put forth his greatest game as a pro to date and weaseled out a road victory in Miami, 31-28. And, it was all thanks to Allen. He tallied 417 passing yards and four touchdowns.

The competition changes from boys to men in Week 3 — the Bills have a date with Los Angeles Rams this Sunday.
