In Weeks 2 and 3, the Miami Dolphins scored 28 points on the Buffalo Bills and then threw 31 up on the board during the team’s first win of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

No, the Dolphins are not “back”. However, they do seem to have a game plan and skill players who are up-and-coming. One of those players is running back Myles Gaskin.

Gaskin has seen his role increase each week, and he broke out in Week 3 for 66 yards on 22carries. He hauled in five catches on five targets for 29 yards as well.

Early on, Gaskin has been a dynamic back for the Dolphins. While he has not gone for a big rushing performance just yet, he has a yards-per-attempt of four, and he has caught 15 passes for 91 yards.

If you play PPR, as most do, you are reading this and thinking “this guy sounds like a fantasy beast”. Well, you are slightly correct. If Gaskin can get more action near the endzone and punch the ball in for six more often, his stock rises infinitely. A back who can get 20+ carries a game and catch a steady volume of passes is someone you rarely should pass up in fantasy football.

Week 4, the Dolphins have a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. Yes, on paper you see this matchup and immediately feel apprehensive about starting Gaskin against one of the best run defenses in the NFL.

However, the Seahawks have been shredded through the air this season. Even if Gaskin gets around 50 yards rushing, he is a threat to do things as a pass-catcher.
