3. Lamar Jackson

Ego is a meaningful tool for success in the NFL. Lamar Jackson is embarassed at how poorly he played in last week’s showdown against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. That’s bad news for a Washington defense that will try to stifle him for a second consecutive week.

Ron Rivera and his staff will be without the services of Chase Young up front. Washington still has plenty of other talented players on their defensive line, but the back end of the defense isn’t going to do much to concern the Ravens. If Baltimore gets their ground game going early they might hang a big number on Washington’s defense.

The key for Jackson will be to make sure he doesn’t try do too much. He’ll receive plenty of chances to make big plays within the confine of the offense. Many of those opportunities may come on perimeter runs. He’s a quarterback who can light up the scoreboard on the ground just as easily as he does through the air.

No matter how Jackson does it, expect him to be efficient on Sunday. Washington has been more competitive than most people expected this season, but they will be run over by a Baltimore team that’s out for revenge this week. Jackson is going to bounce back in a big way.
